Helping organisations work with agricultural and rural communities, not just in them
Agricultural and rural communities are often expected to adapt to programs, policies and decisions designed somewhere else. We take a different approach.
Based in rural Australia, we understand that communities are more than demographics, stakeholder lists and consultation reports. They're relationships, local knowledge, history, competing priorities and lived experience.
Whether we're working on strategy, engagement, research adoption, community development or program delivery, our role is to help organisations understand those realities and work with them. Because solutions are more likely to succeed when they reflect the communities they're intended to serve.

How Nine Creeks started
After years working in agriculture and across regional Australia, Nine Creeks founder Pru Cook noticed a recurring challenge. Good ideas, programs and investments didn't always achieve what they set out to because they weren't designed with a strong understanding of the places, people and problems they were intended to support.
Too often, the expectation was that communities and industries would adapt to the program, rather than the other way around.
That observation became the foundation of Nine Creeks.
Today, we work with organisations to better understand the agricultural industries, regional communities and local contexts they work in, helping ensure that strategies, programs and projects are practical, relevant and grounded.
